Neighborhood Liaisons

NRC-Colorado organizes and sponsors a “Neighborhood Liaison Forum,” a growing group employees or volunteers of local government or nonprofits that interact or collaborate with neighborhoods or the community at large. More specifically, Neighborhood Liaisons support collaboration, education, and capacity building with their neighborhood or community partners. Click here for more information.

Livable Communities

A livable community is one that has many different pieces, such as energy and water conservation, supportive community features and services, and adequate mobility options, which together facilitate personal independence and the engagement of residents in civic and social life (Kihl, Brennan, List, Gabhawala, & Mittal, 2005). NRC-Colorado is currently focusing on walkable communities, energy and water conservation, and Aging in Community. Click here for more information.
